About the Exhibition

Subcultura Curation is proud to announce its first gallery residency inside the newly established Cult Studios at Studio Culture in Barrio Logan. This initiative will serve as a collaborative space featuring artists, visual creators, and community members, with a strong emphasis on subcultural expression, grunge aesthetics, and punk-rooted narratives. Stay tuned for more details as we roll out this exciting new project!

With that said, we are pumped to introduce our first artist-in-residence, Fedella Lizeth, and her debut solo exhibition, set for Saturday, April 12, 2025.

Fedella’s work is tender and raw, capturing the unfiltered beauty of everyday life while deeply reflecting the cultural essence of San Diego. Her photography reveals the city’s “browns and blues”—the earthy tones of resilience, heritage, and history, contrasted with the deep blues of nostalgia, movement, and the boundless horizon that shapes our stories.

Through her lens, Fedella transforms fleeting moments into visual poetry—each image a quiet yet powerful dialogue between identity, place, and emotion. This is not just a show; it’s a feeling, an experience, and a tribute to the people and places that shape our stories.

We are not only admirers of her work but also deeply connected through our shared love and appreciation for the barrios that shape us.
