San Diego, CA – Subcultura Curation is proud to present “Browns & Blues,” the debut solo exhibition by photographer Fedella Lizeth, opening Saturday, April 12, 2025, and on view through June 2025 at Cult Studios in Barrio Logan. As the inaugural artist-in-residence for Subcultura Curation, Fedella’s work offers a deeply personal and culturally resonant visual exploration of identity, heritage, and the essence of everyday life.

Influenced by her surroundings, Fedella’s photography is both raw and tender, capturing the unfiltered beauty of San Diego’s landscapes and communities. Her images embody San Diego’s “browns and blues”—earthy tones that reflect resilience, history, and cultural roots, contrasted with deep blues that evoke nostalgia, movement, and the boundless horizon shaping our stories. Through her lens, fleeting moments transform into powerful portraits, offering a quiet yet profound dialogue between past and present.

The exhibition will open with a special reception on April 12, featuring:

Artist Talk – A conversation with Fedella Lizeth on her artistic process and inspirations
Live Music & DJ Sets – Sounds curated to complement the visual experience
Community Gathering – A space for artists, creatives, and supporters to connect

This exhibition also marks a significant milestone for Subcultura Curation’s artist residency program, dedicated to amplifying emerging artists and fostering cultural expression in alternative art spaces.
